It is nonsensical, but we do it. Men commit sin and try to conceal it from God. It is useless because God sees all. To conceal sin from God is a troubling and wearisome task. It is like a cloud that hangs over the person. It is the hand of God saying, “I know and you will feel better when you open up and confess to Me.”  Instead of hiding, confess it all to Him and repent. He will forgive and restore your joy to you.
