“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, Rev 1:8
“13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” Rev 22:13
“Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last,” Rev 1:17
“The first and the last, who [e]was dead, and has come to life, says this” Rev 2:8
“6And He told me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give freely from the spring of the water of life.” Rev 21:6
I don’t know if they are small-minded or faithless or just ignorant, but many cannot accept that Jesus is God, and that He is God’s Son. Both are true. However such is impossible. How can He be one thing and the other? It’s like asking how God can be a spirit and in the flesh too?
The Book of Revelation states in the clearest terms that Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, the first and last, the beginning and the end. These are all descriptions of the God.
Revelation 21, says of the Alpha and Omega, identified multiple times as Jesus, “6Then He said to me, “[c]It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give water to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life, without cost. 7The one who overcomes will inherit these things, and I WILL BE HIS GOD AND HE WILL BE MY SON.’
When people feel conflicted with the straightforward truth, and instead start reasoning ‘but he prayed to God’ and ‘he went back to the Father’, such people have decided to accept only what makes sense to them.
Worship Him. Jesus came to do God’s will. And then the disciples worshiped Jesus. These people understood the supernatural nature of things that Jesus is distinct from the Father, while also see that He is the “I Am” and that He was both “with God” and “was God.” John 1:1ff. It is true that we pray to God through the Jesus the High Priest. But it is also true that He is God and it is right to worship Him, as well as the Father and the Holy Spirit.
