CHILDREN WILL BE WEAK IF RAISED ON TABLETS, DM

40Now the Child continued to grow and to become strong, increasing in wisdom; and the favor of God was upon Him.” Lk 2:40

The normal growth of a child is described here. This is the normal growth of a child who has godly parents who nurture the children in the ways of the Lord.

If children are not strengthening the mind, body and soul, they will be weak as adults.

Exercise is of the body and also of the spirit. Paul said to Timothy that bodily exercise is good for some things, but exercising unto godliness is profitable for all things, 1 Tim 4:8.

As grownups have to have motivation to get up and not be lazy, children who have foolishness bound up in them, will need parents who prompt/make children get moving and be useful.

Parents who let their children play day and night on the computer tablet, are not good parents. Such parents will be called to account for neglecting their children.

So make your children read the Bible: it is the words of life. Make your children be responsible for things like taking out the trash and replacing the plastic bag, make them help in the yard. Make them set an alarm and do daily exercises. Make them get off the couch and find something to do. Make them say ‘please’ and ‘yes sir’.

Growing up in wisdom and stature, the way Samuel did in 1 Sam 2:26 is not possible without wise guidance from loving and caring parents.
