John answered, “A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven. John 3:27

Don’t fret or give a moment of thought to the devil’s lie that you are being cheated. Trust that God will always give you what is deserved.

People spend a lot of time and energy in pointless, emotion draining worry that they didn’t get their fair share, they don’t get the recognition they deserve, and in someone they have been slighted and cheated. John did not do this. Such talk would be of the devil unless you believe God has fallen down on the job.

The Bible talks about ‘contentment’, 1 Tim. 6:6. And Paul said, ‘Therefore I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in distresses, in persecutions, in difficulties, in behalf of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong’, 2 Cor. 12:10. John the Baptist and Paul didn’t waste time questioning God about why you keep getting overlooked.

So take a breath and enjoy the people around you. Spend some time on the things at your hand. Be the best you can be today and keep your head out thoughts on tomorrow or the past. You will then be situated properly to see God’s incoming blessings.
