“For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. ” Rom 1:21

God hardens the heart of people today. The way that he hardened the heart of pharaoh in Moses day. The simplicity of the Cross is odious to a proud man. The audacity of an 80-year-old man with a staff to ask Pharaoh to let Israel go, was odious to the Pharaoh. The wisdom of God hardens the heart of proud and arrogant people who think they know better.

If we cover our eyes and ears to the truth, we make ourselves dull and numb to the truth.
