Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— 1 Peter 2:2
13For everyone who partakes only of milk is unacquainted with the word of righteousness, for he is an infant. 14But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to distinguish between good and evil. Hebrews 5:13-14
I gave you milk to drink, not solid food, for not yet were you able. In fact, now you are still not able, 1 Cor 3:2
If you are a bay in Christ, you need the fundamental teaching of Christ. This is the baby food, the “milk”. As you grow and mature in the faith, you dig into the deeper truths, the “meat”.
To grow up and mature as a Christian, we must spend time in the Bible and allow God to teach us.
“For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.”
