Some say that faith is a gift from God. In a way it is, in the same way that the sun, rain, air, life and free will are the gift of God. What is faith? It is the human capacity to put reliance on something or someone. If the majority of people are lost, it’s because they have placed their faith on sand, foundations that don’t last. We all have faith in all have faith, God through Jesus is simply appealing to us to put our faith in Jesus Christ; solely and firstly in Jesus Christ. Stop putting faith in false gods, false prophets, philosophies of men, in dreams of the imagination and put faith in God. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Pro. 3:5f.
