DID THEY SAY JESUS’ BIRTH WAS ILLEGITIMATE? From John 8

40But as it is, you are seeking to kill Me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God; this Abraham did not do. 41You are doing the deeds of your father.” They said to Him, “We were not born as a result of sexual immorality; we have one Father: God.”

When Jesus is telling them they are not from Abraham because they are not like Abraham. Then they reply, We were not born as a result of sexual immorality.” Were they aware that Mary was pregnant before the marriage with Joseph? I wonder this because of what Jesus says next as a defense to what they said. Look up the following verses.
