Biblical Belief is not what is portrayed by many in the Denominational world. It might be news to you, but belief is more than you think. It’s more than mental assent or acknowledgement of the Truth. It’s more than accepting the reality of God or His Son. It’s more than acknowledging your own sinfulness.
The belief described in the Bible that is the saving type is active, obedient, and on-going. It is not the “I don’t have to do a thing ’cause Jesus did it all on the cross”; the do nothing, faith alone, dogma being prescribed in many churches (James 2:14-26). It takes an obedient faith to take hold of God’s saving grace. “In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (Jas. 2:17). The Lord Jesus and all of His followers called for “obedient faith” (See Romans 1:6; 16:26). Churches like to talk about “faith, hope, and love”; well so the did the Apostle Paul who said faith works, love labors, and hope is steadfast (1 Thess. 1:3). Saving belief chooses to daily turn away from sin and keeps on following Jesus Christ. I’m here to say: Belief, it’s more than you think.ShareThis

Well said. Concise and Clear. The picture, while amazing, is making me queasy – that thing used to be inside someone's head!
