“For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ” Phil. 3:18

The enemies of the cross of Christ set their minds on the things of the flesh. Just watch them and see that they worship their bellies, take pride in shameful things, and set their minds on earthly things” -v19. They may preach and appear religious, but they do it from carnal interest. They act religious but only as a covering for their fleshly pursuits. They look out for their own interest and a detrimental to the cause of Christ. They don’t care about others. They will divide and not unite God’s people. When there’s a split in the church, they are present acting as if they are the ones trying to do right. They learn nothing from the selfless sacrifice of Jesus. They only give lip-service to Jesus, but Paul says, “…they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus” – Phil 2:16. They are truly enemies of the cross of Christ Jesus who work to this day.
