God loves us all. He wants the man he created in His image to be right with Him and to have the promise of eternal life. If you believe in Jesus, He gave you the right to be God’s son, Jn 1:12. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is God’s vehicle to save those who believe, Romans 1:16,17. This Gospel of Jesus must be obeyed, as belief alone is not satisfactory, Mt 7:21ff; Rom. 2:6,7; 1:5. “For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?”, 1 Pt 4:17; cf. 2 Thess 1:8.
Man is without excuse if he does not believe and obey the Gospel because God purposely and effectively revealed Himself to every man through the creation, and through His Son who is resurrected from the grave, and through the Holy Spirit inspired Bible, Romans 1:4,20; 2:4. “We preach Christ, and Him crucified.”
There’s no partiality with God as he will punish all who do evil and He will give His saving grace to all who call on Him, Rom. 2:11. This love God has for all mankind was demonstrated by Him through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ, Rom. 5:6-11. Through His suffering, we are able to be healed if we believe in Him and obey His Gospel.
God’s gift is not through meritorious works of the Law. The Law demanded perfection which is not possible. The Law was given to teach us that we are hopelessly sinful and unable to save ourselves. Therefore the futility of a Law system leads the sinner to trust in God to give salvation as a gift to those who believe, Gal. 3:19ff.
There is one place that marks the moment of salvation, where one receives God’s gift of saving grace, and that is at baptism – ‘in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit”, Mt 28:18-20; Mark 16:15,16. Paul told the Romans that the threshold moment of salvation is when a penitent sinner is immersed into Christ. From the Baptism the sinner arises born again, Rom. 6:3-5.
Do you desire to know God and to rest assured that you are right with Him? Have you been saved by God’s grace? If you believe and are baptized, you shall be saved, Mark 16:16. God loves you and wants you to be saved. If you seek God, you will find Him. If you ask, you shall receive. God’s salvation is awaiting your response.
