These are difficult times we live in. Paul writes to the Romans, “26 For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error” (Rom. 1:26,27). To the Corinthian Christians, he reminded them that they repented of and put away the sins of adultery, fornication and homosexuality. When God made man and woman, he created the institution of marriage (Gen. 2:24). The truth about sexuality and about the most holy institution of marriage is under assault in our world, but we must not yield to this assault.
It is with the love of God that I write the following. The church family and the lost world must be warned of these sad realities that will directly influence their spiritual lives. It is becoming evident that something is adrift in this world, what with the recent passage of the gay marriage laws (the most recent being in Minnesota, and signed into law by Gov. Dayton) along with the proposed anti-bullying school legislation, in Minnesota called the, “Safe and Supportive Minnesota Schools Act”, that they are tied together and part of a larger agenda. Ostensibly, “Safe and Supportive” means to address the age-old problem of kids picking on other kids, which everyone agrees needs to be addressed. However, the real intent of this legislation and what we need to understand is that we, our children, and grandchildren’s opposition to homosexuality will also be defined as “bullying”. This Act will require training for educators and students on what is proper and improper speech. In the future, school children that speak out against homosexuality in school or in social media can and will be punished under the anti-bullying Act. The devil that I preached against recently, who is prominently addressed in the Book of Revelation, is advancing this attack. It is a real threat to the minds of our children, to the home, and to the church. Christians, young and old, are slowly being pressed and squeezed to be silent and say nothing more against the deviant lifestyle which is described in Romans 1:20ff. More than ever, we need to pray for God’s hand to deliver us from this evil.
It’s not going to end with gay marriage indoctrination in the public schools. Recently we read of the case being made by some in public discourse to lower the age at which adults can have sex with children (Google search “Barrister Barbara Hewson”). This case is being made in England, Canada and soon the same case will be made in the United States. The group called North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA, it’s troubling that I know what that stands for!) has been quietly working towards this end. These perverted men, rightly called for they are child molesters, are slowly making the case that IT IS THEY who are being persecuted because of their “natural affection” for boys/children.
What we must do. First, we must continue to speak the truth in love, Eph. 4:15. We cannot shy away from teaching the truth to our children in the home, in classes, and from the pulpit. Secondly, we need to protect our children as they are a heritage from the Lord, Psalm 127:3. It is parents “who have a right, nay they have a duty” to train their children up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, Eph. 6:1,2. Let us recognize what is coming and understand that your children are in the cross-hairs to be conditioned to accept the abnormal. Teach them what the Scriptures say. Encourage, if they are able, that parents remove their children from the government school system and put them in private schools or home school them.
As in Sodom, sexual deviants are not satisfied to privately live their profane lifestyles. They must have and they demand our acceptance. They will force affirmation and support in the public schools so that if we do not accept them, we will be accused of committing the “hate crime” of speaking “hate speech”. I feel as though in the past we have in the church spoke of persecution as something very far away or something theoretical but this is not the case any longer in the United States. If we Christians fail to address this persecution, then we are willfully blind, fearful, or we may not even be of God. The attack on Christian values is an attack of God, an attack on the church, an attack on the God-designed home, and an attack on our children and future generations. Persecution is coming. I never ever thought I would see this day. Stand firm and trust in the Lord.
I speak this with love for every soul, even the souls of sinful men who oppose God’s truth. – Dan
