“I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.” Lk 15:7

He said unless you and I Repent, we will perish, Lk 13:3.

Faith only doctrine says a person is required to do nothing to be saved since Jesus died on the cross and paid the debt. Well it’s true that none of us can’t pay the debt, but we must believe, and Repent, and be baptized in faith to be saved by His blood.

God and His angels rejoice when sinners repent.

About the 99 who did not need to repent, just compare these with the brother of the prodigal son who was always in the father’s house. The rejoicing that day was for the son who did need to repent.
