“‘For I tell you, none of those men who were invited shall taste of my dinner.’” Luke 14:24. When denominations teach that “once you are saved, you are always saved” and cannot lose your salvation, they must explain how the covenant people Israel could be lost. They rejected God’s plan when they ought to be the first to get on board with the Messianic plan to save. With these you have the perfect example that a person in covenant with God can turn away and be eternally lost. Think about how it has now been almost 20 centuries since Jesus inaugurated His new covenant and the vast majority of God’s covenant people Israel have not believed in Jesus and they have been eternally lost as a result. So we must reject the false doctrine called “perseverance of the saints” which says “once saved, always saved.” God invited all to come to the wedding feast. But the majority will make excuses and will resist Him.
