One thing that a Christian knows is that no amount of Works can redeem the soul. We all fall short of the glory of God and are therefore unable to save ourselves. The only hope is Christ, which is why we put our faith in Him. Knowing how costly it was to redeem our souls makes us to be even more grateful to God that he gave his only begotten son that we might have life.
