“17One who is gracious to a poor man lends to the LORD, And He will repay him for his good deed.” Pro. 19:17.
The Bible reminds the people in the Old Testament that when they harvest their crops to leave a part in the field so that the poor may have it for free if they are willing to go to the field.
“22When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap all the way to the edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and the foreign resident. I am the LORD your God.’” Lev. 23:22
A SPIRITUAL PERSON IS A GIVER AND THE LORD REWARDS HIM.
“Honor the LORD with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your harvest; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.” Pro. 3:9,10
“Cast your bread on the surface of the waters, for you will find it after many days.” Eccl 11:1
“The generous man will be prosperous, And he who waters will himself be watered.” Pro. 11:25.
Jesus said to give and it will be given to you… Luke 6:38. There is the promise from God that He does not forget those who love and do good, Heb. 6:10.
GENEROSITY IS A CHRISTIAN VIRTUE
“He who is generous will be blessed, For he gives some of his food to the poor.” Pro. 22:9
