Stay vigilant because Jesus warned of the devil’s tactics to deceive even the elect. I cannot tell you who, but someone said of the devil’s tactics, “He will use his logic to confuse and his rationalizations to destroy. He will shade meanings, open doors an inch at a time, and lead from purest white through all the shades of gray to the darkest black.” Is that not how the devil gets us to drop our guard and become accepting of evil? Remember from my sermon, Alexander Pope’s words, “first tolerance, then pity, and then embrace” of sin. Stay strong, Christian. Is sin still a frightful thing, or have we moved to the acceptance of it?

“For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible.” Mt. 24:24.
