When our little son was told the frog he had would probably die if left inside, Daniel very sadly and sympathetically asked if he could take it outside and smash it with a hammer? After we got over the momentary shock, we said, “No, just take it outside and let it live.” I understand that a child can be confused, but for adults to do evil against a child is inexcusable.
