“Before the mountains were born or you gave birth to the earth and the world, ever from everlasting to everlasting,You are God.” Ps. 90:2

Eternity is hard to comprehend. Time that goes on and on, forwards and backwards, is conceptually understandable, but practically speaking, very hard because we have nothing to compare it to.

One person related eternity to what we see in space that seems to have no end to it. No matter how far the Hubble telescope peers in any direction, space just goes on without a wall.

This tells us something about the nature of God. He has no beginning and He has no ending. We do not know how this could be, but it is exactly what you would expect from God. A God that had a beginning and an ending, would not be God. We would rightly search for the force or entity that made him.

Our God, and the only God worthy to be followed, is the Almighty who is absolute in power, knowledge, and virtue; He is the God who is from everlasting to everlasting. Amen.
