“My son, fear the LORD and the king; Do not associate with those who are given to change,” Pro.24:21

Someone said in defense of conservatism that it is not the worship of ashes, but rather is the preservation of the flame. What is good deserves to be preserved. Some things therefore should not be changed. This is why Christians are conservative by nature because the old ways are tried and true. God is the same which no Christian wants to change. God’s morals do not change. Marriage, family, and raising children is as old as time. Only the devil would want to change the good that God designed. The Bible is not to be changed. The Gospel is not to be changed. Christians are by faith tethered to transcendent things that do not change and so it necessitates that they are conservative.
