“4Not so the wicked! For they are like chaff driven off by the wind. 5Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. 6For the LORD guards the path of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.…” Psalm 1
You may not wish to pronounce a judgment or even to offer an opinion on the state of the unbeliever, but God has already told you that they are like chaff to be burnt up. You may not wish to be divisive by removing the ungodly from the assembly, but God has already spoken and said they shall be removed.
A lot of unwillingness to state the obvious is not about wishing to not play God, but is more about your confusion or your disbelief that these sinners are all that bad. God says that liars and cowards are going to hell. Paul removed and delivered over to the devil the man who had his father’s wife. Are you willing to state that unrepentant sinners are on the path to hell? Jesus said the many are on the wide road that leads to destruction. David said “Do I not hate those who hate You, O LORD? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?” Psalm 139. How many so-called Christians think they are more right than David – called a man after God’s own heart – and repeat the common refrain, “hate the sin, love the sinners”? For me, I hate those who hate God. I know that most people are damned because they have committed the most grievous sin to reject the truth. I repeat only what God says that those who do not obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ will pay the penalty of eternal destruction.
Admit that God is right. Repeat what God has said because the lost are in trouble. Obey the Gospel and be saved today.
Acts 22:16.
