“holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.” Philippians 2:16.

Holding fast to something takes what? To hold fast to something you must believe it is important. You must believe that it is valuable to you. Holding fast means that in your level of priorities, it is something at the top of the list.

Holding fast to the word of life is holding fast to the Bible. The Bible is God’s spoken word and it means holding fast to what God has to say. When we hold fast to God’s word, we do it.
