The Devil…

The devil has an evil inclination to make people fall into sin. Sin separates from God and the devil knows it. The devil is the one who tempts and we should not be naive about it, 1 Cor. 7:5. Paul says to the husband and wife to come together and satisfy each other so they do not fall into temptation to commit sexual sin.

Jesus came into the world to destroy the works of the devil, 1 Jn 3:8. The devil has been sinning against God from the beginning and he has been a thorn in the side of man ever since. But the hope and promise of freedom from sin is to be connected with Jesus Christ.

Some people say Christians cannot fall from grace back into a lost sinful state. Why would Satan both with Christians if he could not make them fall? Paul said, “But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ, 2 Cor 11:3.

The devil perverts and distorts everything good and true. The devil cannot produce beauty. His art is ugly. His works are stinking vile. He is so ugly he has to disguise himself or else everyone would be revolted at his sight. The devil seeks to kill, steal and destroy. Thieving is his work. Murdering is his work. Destroying buildings and smashing works of art are his work. Children are beautiful and innocent. So the devil perverts minds to think children are evil – Calvinism is a work of the devil. The devil has convinced the world to say abortion is good. The devil hates marriage as comprised by God. He wants men to sleep with strange women. He wants wives to be unfaithful. He wants marriages and homes to be smashed. He wants children to live in trauma and fear. The devil is trying every day to destroy your reputation. He is trying to fill people with despair and hate. The devil is behind all evil.

The Bible says to resist the devil firm in your faith, 1 Pt. 5:8. The devil will flee if you tell him, Be Gone! and Get behind me! Keep your eyes open and keep them fixed on God. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. With your free will a gift from God, choose good and right. And tell the devil to take a hike.
