“They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, DISOBEDIENT TO PARENTS…” Rom 1:30

If your parents taught you right but you rejected their teaching, you are disobedient to your parents And, this disobedient person has dishonored his or her parents.

“Accursed children! Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray…..” 2 Peter 2:14

All of us have gone astray, but some were raised in the right way and rejected what their parents taught them. This is worse on a next level.

“Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.” “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise), “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.”

When children turn from the good way they were taught, this is dishonoring their parents.

When we read to our little ones to “obey your parents”, understand this means to grow up and remain faithful. When you are trained in the right way to go, do not abandon the good teaching you received.
