2 “You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. – Deut 4:2

6 Do not add to His words, Or He will reprove you, and you will be proved a liar. – Pro 30:6

18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book. – Rev 22:18f

The word of God is perfect and so no one should go beyond what is written.

6 Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively applied to myself and Apollos for your sakes, so that in us you may learn not to exceed what is written, so that no one of you will become arrogant in behalf of one against the other. – 1 Cor 4:6

The sins of arrogance and division are ushered in when believers approve what God has not. Stick close to what so we can say, thus sayeth the Lord.

Only the Bible has words of life. Men do not have words of life when they speak more or less than what the Bible says.

9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word. 10 With all my heart I have sought You; Do not let me wander from Your commandments. – PSA 119

If we keep our walk according God’s word, we will be blessed.

And anyone who goes being the Word of God is cursed.

6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; 7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! 9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! – Gal 1
