If you believe God, it shows in your covenants. If you believe in God, you wouldn’t make a covenant with the devil or with his workers. The covenants we make in this life say something about our faith in God.

Marriage is a big part of who we are. It will influence much that we do in this life. If you then marry an ungodly women, you insult the God you claim to follow. Marry a godly woman.

“He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD.” – Pro. 18:22

The covenant of marriage is from God and He expects us to keep them. Marriage is for life and “let no man separate it.” So marry good because you will be with this person for a long time.If you grow tired of your wife and dump her, it’s an insult to God. If you won’t respect marriage, you betray your covenant with God. Don’t think for a moment that God will ignore these trespasses. “Judah has dealt treacherously….and has married the daughter of a foreign god….against the wife of your youth you have dealt treacherously…” Mal. 2:11,14. God “hates divorce”.

Large churches are filling up their pews with people who have been in multiple marriages. I guarantee you that most of these divorces, not all, but most were not the result of sexual infidelity which Jesus gave as the only exception. Preachers, get it right. Parents, get it right. Husbands, get it right. Respect the covenant you have with God by respecting the covenant of marriage.
