Idolatry is a grievous sin. To bow to something, anything other than God is idolatry and is an insult against God. Bow to an idol and you say to God, “I do not believe in you, I do not submit to your laws, I do not honor you.” Idolatry comes in many forms both visible and less obvious forms too. Tear down your idols and return to Almighty God before it’s too late.
“The LORD has issued a command concerning you: “Your name will no longer be perpetuated. I will cut off idol and image From the house of your gods. I will prepare your grave, For you are contemptible.” – Nahum 1:14.
Do we remember that it was Israel’s idolatry that brought their downfall? Even the atheist that says he has no God, has still exalted a god of his own liking. He worships humanism, pleasure, intellect, the earth, animals, or something though he won’t admit it. God shows no favoritism. God calls for all men to repent and to worship Him in spirit and truth, Acts 17:29,30; Jn 4:23,24.
