On what is your faith based? A man I have known for years, who is very religious but just short of being in the kingdom, once told me that without a miraculous sign he could not be converted. It made me wonder. Many would only believe if they could see, “But he said to them, “Unless I see in his hands the mark of the nails, and place my finger into the mark of the nails, and place my hand into his side, I will never believe.” Jn 20:25. Others saw more than one sign and still could not believe, or else they would credit it to Satan, Mt 9:34. But there were people who believed upon hearing Christ teach. “And many more believed because of his word. They said to the woman, “It is no longer because of what you said that we believe, for we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this is indeed the Savior of the world.” Jn 4:41,42. The greatest proving miracle in the Bible is the resurrection of the Son of God, Romans 1:4. Does God need to replicate that miracle for each person? Why is not the testimony convincing enough? Jesus rebuked the disciples because they would not believe He was risen when told so by the ladies. He told them, “blessed are those who do not see and believe.” Are Jesus’ words not enough for you to rest your faith upon? Isn’t the eye witness testimony of many people enough for you?
