“Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.” Ps 37:5
This is a passage the children in church have memorized. What does it mean? It means “your way”, your plan, hope, dream, desire, your life work, and such things if given over to the LORD, and if done with complete faith and not doubting, He will accomplish it for you.
Sometimes “my way” isn’t God’s way. Sometimes man desires a “way” that is contrary to the will of God and God is not going to give that man what he wishes. God is not going to do for us what is immoral and contrary to His revealed will in Scripture. So let’s make sure we don’t ask amiss from the LORD. Don’t seek from the LORD what is carnal or of impure motives.
God loves those who seek Him and trust in Him with all of their hearts. Faith is believing that God IS and that God is a rewarder of those that seek Him, Heb 11:6. Trust and delight yourself in the LORD and he promises to give to you “the desires of your heart”, Ps 37:4.
