“The conclusion, when all has been heard is: fear God and keep His commands, because this applies to every person.” – Eccl 12:13
There is nothing that makes more sense but that God’s children should fear the Almighty God who is going to judge them. And therefore there’s nothing that makes more sense but that God’s children should obey His commands.
These, fear and obedience, are actually a grace from God because it implies God is knowable and that His will is doable. Man does not tremble at a figment of the imagination. And man does not obey what he does not or cannot know.
God is our Heavenly Father who desires we all come to repentance (Acts 20:28f) and that we “come to the knowledge of the Truth (1 Tim 2:4,5). I say it is a grace, a gift of God, that we can know Him and do His will and thereby have His promise that we will be saved.
Implied in the very passage by Solomon in Ecclesiastes is the promise of blessing. For why would any man fear and obey if it held no promise?
So do God’s will. Repent and be Baptized for the remission of your sins, Acts 2:38; 22:16. God bless you. Dan
