UNITY AND GROWTH IN EPHESUS

Paul said that through the church the manifold wisdom of God is made known, Eph 3:10. In chapter 4, Paul talks about the “one body” which is the church (Eph 4:4; 1:22,23). Later in the same chapter, Paul says the following:

11And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ. 14As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; 15but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, 16from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.” Eph 4:11-16

God wants the body of Christ to grow and to be about the work of His Son. This growth and mission of the church requires that the body be “fitted and held together” and that it “strive for the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.” Such cooperation and unity is impossible except through one church. Denominations with their false tongues, ten commandment observances, insistence on tithing, marriage to creed books and catechisms, as well as their man-made organizational hierarchies, makes this unity impossible.

Denominations are the invention of man and are the work of the evil one who planted tares in the field.

Seek the true church which is the church of Christ.  I say this with humility and love. – Dan
