The world that does not hope in God is proud and boastful. The world that does not hope in God is overly involved in matters not too great for man. The world that does not hope in God believes in its own might and it does not know it is weak. The world is doomed to fail that does not hope in God.

The child of God has been tenderly fed and nurtured as an infant is from his dear mother. And at the right time, the child has grown to eat on food and no longer needs the mother’s milk. Now the child is grown and weaned but still is comforted by the abiding presence of God. God’s child has a hope. He is secure as a weaned child in the care of his mother.

Israel and the Church does not hope in the temporal and passing things of this life. There is only hope in the LORD. When you feel proud, remember there is no hope there. When you want to involve yourselves in matters too great for man which only God can answer, remember there’s no hope for you. And when you try to do what only God can do, know there is no hope there.

Let God be your hope from now and forever more.
