If God pours out His great wrath upon an ungodly nation, you can be sure it is TRUE AND RIGHTEOUS. And if the true and just wrath is the answer to prayers, then the prayers also are true and just.

– The 24 elders are bringing the prayers of the saints, Rev 5:8

– The saints are praying for God’s vengeance on the harlot, Rev. 6:9-10

– The prayers for judgment are mingled with incense to be a sweet savour to the Lord, Rev 8:3-5

– The judgment of the great harlot, symbolically Babylon the great city, which sat on seven hills, which sat on many waters, which ruled over the kings of the earth, which all the merchants of the earth traded with, which was guilty of murdering Christians, which was the fourth beast in the book of Daniel, this judgment on Rome was true and just.

Revelation 15:3
3 And they sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, ” Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty; RIGHTEOUS AND TRUE are Your ways, King of the nations!

Revelation 16:7
7 And I heard the altar saying, “Yes, O Lord God, the Almighty, TRUE AND RIGHTEOUS are Your judgments.”

Revelation 19:2
2 BECAUSE HIS JUDGMENTS ARE TRUE AND RIGHTEOUS; for He has judged the great harlot who was corrupting the earth with her immorality, and HE HAS AVENGED THE BLOOD OF HIS BOND-SERVANTS ON HER.”

Christians can and should pray like first century Christians. We should pray for God’s judgment on the unrighteous world that is perverting justice and turning good into evil. We should pray against those who slaughter the innocent. Pray against those who prey on the poor and abuse children. Pray true and just prayers against those who literally are mortgaging the lives of generations not yet born for it is they who will have to pay the debt for spending done today. Pray just and true prayers against those who pervert the minds of those who don’t know their right hand from their left. Pray just and true prayers against those who profit from broken marriages and who sue unjustly. Pray just and true prayers against those who fill the media with lies and half truths in order to advance their ungodly goals. Pray just and righteous prayers against those who pervert the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

God hears the prayers of His people who are oppressed daily in their souls, 2 Pt 2:7. Bring these prayers to God and they will be sweet aroma to Him.
