This is the question Paul asked the disciples he came across in Ephesus. “Did you receive the Spirit when you believed?” They said they didn’t know there was a spirit. This led Paul to ask about their baptism. They said they got John’s baptism. So add Priscilla and Aquila taught Apollos the way out God more accurately, Paul taught them and immersed them this time to receive the Spirit.

What was Paul suggesting about the Spirit? Paul didn’t ask if they received “the gift of” the Holy Spirit when they believed. So how was the Holy Spirit received when you believe?
