How many companies tout this? The Secret Service says it. The trucking company and the grocery store chain says it. It’s not the buildings, the guns, the trucks, the technology; but people are the greatest asset. I believe it’s true, but why?

It was on day six that God created man. “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” Gen 1:27. Man and woman are the crowning touch on God’s creation. Not a mere animal, but having a spirit like God’s, man is the best. So it’s not surprising to hear even the godless powers of the world to say that their citizens are the most important thing.

But what is valued? Paul said, “Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even
though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.” 2 Cor. 5:16. Christians look upon men as spiritual beings, needing salvation for the soul made in God’s image. Contrast this with the godless world who looks upon men as animals who need to be utilized like beasts or like slaves who work together for the greater good of society. There’s no question that man has value. But what is it about man that is valued? It depends mindset of the person you ask. If he is carnal, he values men for carnal uses. If he is spiritual, for the spiritual, Romans 8:5.

Robots are all the rage. Robots doing factory jobs. Car driving robots. Sex robots are being created to replaced human “partners”. This is done by the godless who see no spiritual component to life. For them, sex is just a pleasure endeavor. Robots fill this carnal void and that’s why we are hearing more about this in the news. This carnal approach to sexuality is manifesting itself in societies around the world. Japan is leading the way in sex robots which is likely associated with the negative population growth in that country. They put off having children but they are not denying the sexual gratification. Robots are being made smarter. Still there will always be something missing in the smartest computer robot. It won’t have the human touch. In fact, the fear is that robots will become so smart that with the right programming, they will determine humans are a menace to the world and ought to be terminated. That’s the real concern. Space Odyssey 2000 and West World were old movies that showcased the concern that robots are going to end up killing us. But robots, like humans who program them, only value the human if they are programmed to. There is too much programming of people in the world, in the education systems, that have taught the need for de-population plans in order to save the earth, the animals, the ‘eco-system’. People, like robots, are being programmed to de-value human life. Robots serve a purpose but they can not value what spiritual man does.

Humans are touched by the finger of God. We think, we judge and love, we create and we live according to the invisible laws of nature’s God. Jehovah didn’t merely make the world and man as a machine. Man is a spiritual being inside of a body. The laws of nature that are always speaking to the conscience of man are what makes a society halfway liveable. “They do instinctively the things of the law” and “they show the work of the law written in their hearts”, Rom. 2:14-15. Christians understand that human beings are spiritual beings. We value, as God does, what is the invisible soul which the world completely denies its existence.

When the world says “our people are our greatest asset”, they may wish or demand that their “asset” be trustworthy and industrious, but they expect something which they deny even exists. Isn’t this the folly of the godless world to claim virtue from something they say has no worth beyond the physical? And the world that has heathen eyes, may claim to value each person, but then devalues the life of the unborn and the aged. If you can kill a child in the womb – or support ‘a woman’s right to choose’ – then you have carnal eyes. When you devalue that innocent life, you devalue all life.

We must point people to their heavenly Father. God is teh maker of all things and He has endowed each person with great value, so much so that He would give His only begotten Son to rescue them from eternal judgment in hell. God knows the worth of a man. If you are spiritually minded, you know the worth of every man, woman, child.
