Ministers/Preachers Are to Be Supported by the Church – 3 Jn 1:7-8; 1 Cor. 9:11-12; Gal 6:6ff
— “7For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. 8Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers with the truth.” 3 John 1:7-8
— “11If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much for us to reap a material harvest from you? 12If others partake of this right to your support, shouldn’t we have it all the more?….” 1 Cor. 9:11-12.
— “6The one who is taught the word is to share all good things with the one who teaches him. 7Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. 8For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.” Gal. 6:6-8
The Minister of the Gospel is a laborer in the church, and Jesus and Paul say, “the laborer is worthy of his wages”.
