CLONING HUMANS

Psalm 139:13-16 says, “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

I would not be surprised for a second to learn that humans are being cloned. It would have to be kept secret because society is not ready to accept it. I wondered if a cloned human would be granted human status. For what purpose would it be cloned? Would it be done secretly for experimentation? Would cloned humans be destroyed after harvesting their organs? Would they be turned loose and secretly watched for decades? I thought about the ethics of cloning by people who view humans as animals. Animals are easily experimented on, so why would they be bothered at experimentation on cloned humans? These kind of people do not have the sense of right and wrong that spiritual people do who believe humans have an everlasting spirit. It’s a scary thought that humans might be cloned the way that dogs and sheep are being cloned. Most agree that unless there is a commercial value to cloning, it will not take off. Let us hope there is never a commercial profit to cloning human beings.

Man is the creation of God and man has no business with meddling with that creation. Leave the human DNA alone.
