”5For He established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers that they should teach them to their children, 6That the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born, That they may arise and tell them to their children, 7That they should put their confidence in God, And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments, 8And not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not prepare its hear, And whose spirit was not faithful to God.” Psalm 78
The truth of God, His works, and teachings are to be taught by parents to the children and grandchildren, “even the children yet to be born.” Animals do not have to be taught how to be animals. But humans are spiritual, moral beings who from infancy must be cared for and trained in right and wrong. Children need to be taught to trust God and to love Jesus. Children need to be taught about the many works of God. Children need to be taught God’s laws on right and wrong. Israel proved to be a poor parent and produced rebellious children. Let us learn and diligently teach our little ones. This is God’s will. This is His way.
