“But you, brothers, are not in the darkness so that this day should overtake you like a thief.” 1 Thess. 5:4

Though no Christian is perfect, Christians do not walk in darkness. Christians are in the light and that is where they walk and live.  If anyone says he is a Christian, but walks in darkness, he is a liar and does not have the truth.

Years ago, my college age daughter went to her college Dean of Students to issue her disagreements with some things the Christian college was sponsoring. He tried justifying the school but ended up saying that no one is perfect and that “we are all in darkness.”  That was a very strange thing to say.  In fact, Christians are in the light and are no longer in darkness. We may not be perfect, and we aren’t, but to suggest that Christians are in darkness is an incredibly bad thing to say.  If you are a believer but are still walking in darkness, I urge you to repent and come to the light.
