Using the Hubble Space Telescope astronomers have discovered a nearby galaxy that apparently has little or no evidence of dark matter. The unique galaxy, called NGC 1052-DF2, contains at most 1/400th the amount of dark matter that astronomers had expected. The galaxy is as large as our Milky Way, but it had escaped attention because it contains only 1/200th the number of stars.

Sadly, like Carl Sagan and Stephen Hawking, many only find out when they die that the universe was made by the All powerful, All seeing, Ever Present Jehovah God who revealed Himself through the Bible, Prophets and especially in His Son, Jesus Christ. It is beautiful that perfection would reveal Himself to us through Jesus in the flesh. It is beautiful that God would save sinful man when man could not save himself. He is perfect power and grace combined. God loves the children of Adam.

The Sagans and Hawkings think themselves wise, but they are the most blind. It is not hard to detect His existence, but is the most natural thing for a person made of body, mind and spirit.

“He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart, yet so that man will not find out the work which God has done from the beginning even to the end.” Eccl. 3:11.

Though we all eventually do what Adam did, still the spirit yearns to know its Creator. An honest person, who is not seeking to escape rules like those found in the ten commandments, will know God exist and that He is a rewarder of those that seek Him. Honest people know “dark matter” and “God particles” are foolish pursuits of vain men. I pity the Sagans and Hawkings, but I do not respect them. They are the blindest of all men. I love God who first loved me.
