WHEN YOU ARE WORSHIPING, IF THE HEART AND SOUL IS NOT INVOLVED, YOU ARE ONLY DOING SOMETHING NATURAL NO MORE VALUABLE THAN WATCHING A GOLF TOURNAMENT AND EATING CHIPS. Move the lips and sing from the heart. Give praise to God and give encouragement to others. Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16; Heb. 13:15.
“15Through Him then, let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name. 16And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.” Heb. 13
A sacrifice is a meaningful offering of worship to God. Christians assemble on the first day of the week to bring meaningful worship to God. But do not forget that God is to be sacrificed to throughout the week. Our life is to be a living sacrifice to God, Rom. 12:1-2. I do not mean that everything you or I do is worship, but everything we do ought to be acceptable to Him. And when we are doing good by being light and salt in a dark world, we are sacrificing in a meaningful way to God.
