1Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable (Gr. well-pleasing) to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable (well-pleasing) and perfect.” – Romans 12
Worship that is conformed to this world cannot be “well-pleasing” to God. God does not accept all worship which men may offer. Just look at Malachi when people robbed God in their tithes and offerings and offered sacrifices to God they wouldn’t think of offering to a Governor. The temptation is to slight God and keep it for ourselves. The temptation is for men to conform to the world, but that is never going to be right. Our minds need to be transformed to prove what is good, well-pleasing, and perfect to God. Read the Bible to follow the pattern and spirit of the first century church, John 4:23-24.
