WORK IS NECESSARY, DM

“In all labor there is profit, But mere talk leads only to poverty.” Proverbs 14:23
“A worker’s appetite works for him, For his hunger urges him on.” Pro. 16:26
Pictures an earthen vessel, toil with pangs, discomfort.
Talk doesn’t get the job done and only results in need, want, lack.
Revenue, income, profit is a product of investment of sweat energy from the individual.
The profit exceeds the investment, it has to, or else no one invests.
Profit is not evil. Kevin O’Leary talked about young entrepreneurs on Shark Tank who bought the idea that profit alone is evil and that if they include an altruistic element – a dollar to charity for every pair of underwear sold – that it will make it justifiable. But really, they want the profit that will appear in their homes and cars while they are claiming to be a not for profit. Guys who run a business and want to turn a profit do not like to see their people standing around. Altruism doesn’t ask others to do your charity. Good deeds are what you do.
And we should work with integrity. “He who profits illicitly troubles his own house, But he who hates bribes will live.” Pro. 15:27. There is work that Christians should not do.
Laziness, Inactivity, Laying around, Sleeping: these produce nothing.
“Where no oxen are, the manger is clean, But much revenue comes by the strength of the ox.” Proverbs 14:4.

“The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, But the soul of the diligent is made fat.” Pro. 13:4

Revenue is “income”, wages, yield, product, as in crops from the field, sold or bartered. A clean manger means no work and no profit. To not work is a waste.
To eat, you have to turn a profit from the hours you put into a job. The Bible says, If a man won’t work, he’s a slacker who fails in his responsibility: “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” 1 Tim. 5:8.
Paul said, “If a man won’t work, neither let him eat.” 2 These 3:10
Apparently, being hungry is a powerful motivator. 🙂
If you want to eat, get a job and hold on to it. You reap a reward. “Whatever a man sows, this he shall reap.” Gal. 6:7.
