You have probably seen a tool but had to guess it’s purpose. You might not figure it out, but be sure that the maker knew the purpose.
To understand that you were made by God should lead to the question, “Why?”
We are made by God to return His love. To reflect His truth. To give Him glory.
Remember, you are the pot, but He is the Potter.
“But now, O LORD, You are our Father, We are the clay, and You our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand.” Isa. 64:8.
The shoe does not tell the cobbler what is his mission in life. The pot does not decide it can be a shoe or a lamp. The Maker of all things is God and everything is made for a purpose.
“The LORD has made everything for its own purpose...” Pro. 16:4.
When we go through this life ignoring God and doing our own will, we make a big mistake. It is the arrogance of man to act with such rebellion. God made you for His glory. So glorify Him by doing what He made you to do.
“Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made.” Isa. 43:7.
Bound up in this purpose revealed by God is that we believe in and obey Jesus. Are you a Christian yet? If you are not yet a Christian, you are still lost in your sins and are without hope. But God sent His Son to save you. So repent and be baptized, Acts 22:16.
