Divine justice cannot be bought off and corrupted as is done in the world. When justice is impeded, twisted, or ignored, it goes against the spiritual laws of nature and against nature’s God.

In Amos 9:2, it says, “Though they dig into Sheol, From there will My hand take them; And though they ascend to heaven, From there will I bring them down.”

At some point. evil people exhaust their welcome and turn to hiding. Divine justice has been unleashed on them and in desperation they flee to some safe harbor. But there is no safe harbor if God has called for them to account. If it seems that the law has been coopted and made to be a weapon to be used against good by evil men and women, the Bible reminds us these bad actors will not escape.
