PARENTING CHRISTIAN CULTURE

Spend time with your children so that YOUR culture, not the world’s, is what they are attached to. Ideas from book, Collapse of Parenting, Leonard Sax, M.D., Ph.D.

“For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters;” Rom 8:29

Culture is a better means of discriminating. We discriminate between dress, between practices and traditions. Some cultural practices are entirely compatible with Christianity and some are incompatible to Christianity.

To be a Christian means becoming like Jesus Christ in all ways. The community of Christians share the culture established by Jesus Christ. If you travel to any place in the world and spend time with Christians, you will joyfully recognize how similar you are to them.

As the disciples took on the manner of Christ (Acts 4:13), Christians are to be “the aroma of Christ” 2 Cor. 5:17

The problem is obvious that much of American culture is contrary to Christianity. Children who are neglected at home will take on the culture of their peers and others influencers at school and in media. But children who are raised by loving parents who truly reflect the culture of Christ, these children will align not with the culture of the world.
