THE TERRIBLE COST OF IMMORALITY, Dan Mayfield

Paul said the wages of sin is death, Rom. 6:23. Going to hell is the worst price, but you know there are many more costs for sin.
The law of sowing and reaping, Gal. 6:7, reminds us of what Adam himself learned that there are negative, immediate, earthborn consequences felt for sin.
– Children without fathers who are scarred through the abandonment.
– Living children in the womb are destroyed before they take their first breath leading to decreased respect for life in general.
– Rampant spread of sexually transmitted diseases leading to failing health and shortened lives. “A nearly 40 percent increase in gonorrhea has Maryland health officials scrambling”1
– Redefining of the basic family, which has biologic and biblical support, to be any perverse union of two or more
people so that the biblically defined marriage for life is an oddity.
– Confusion, fear, and despair leading to stress that incapacitates. Technology isn’t making life more satisfying as 1 in 3 18 to 24 year olds say they are lonely most or all of the time.2
– Societal breakdown, lawlessness, and anarchy leading to lack of trust and love.
Sin in society will manifest itself in many ways that lead to breakdown that destroys stability.
Thankfully, God forgives those who ask Him. “And now why do you delay? Arise and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on His name.” Acts 22:16. Even though we might suffer short or long term maladies and griefs due to sin, we can be forgiven and have eternal life. Praise the Lord.
