GOD THOUGHT ABOUT YOU, DM

5 For He did not subject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking. 6 But one has testified somewhere, saying, “WHAT IS MAN, THAT YOU REMEMBER HIM? OR THE SON OF MAN, THAT YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT HIM? 7 “YOU HAVE MADE HIM FOR A LITTLE WHILE LOWER THAN THE ANGELS; YOU HAVE CROWNED HIM WITH GLORY AND HONOR, AND HAVE APPOINTED HIM OVER THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS; 8 YOU HAVE PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET.” For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him.” – Heb. 2

The world when created was not subjected to angels? No. When God created the world, He subjected the world with all of the abundance of life and resources to the man. Man was made by God to have dominion over the world.

Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” – Gen. 1:26.

God made man special in all of creation. This is not what the world says. The world says man has no greater value or importance than any other living or non-living thing. In fact, the world that is often hostile to God says that man is a menace to the world and that the earth could only survive if man became extinct. In fact, the world that is often hostile to God will enact laws to protect the Dodo bird egg or the Eagle egg, but the living child in the womb is destroyed in the bat of an eye.

We can think two ways. We can think about the world with God in mind, or we can think of the world in a natural, humanistic way. Only one way can be right. One way sees no great value to human life and one way sees immeasurable value to life. One way sees everything as meaningless and one way sees life as having purpose. One way leads to questions and one way leads to confidence in the hope of God.

Why did God take thought of man? And why did God send the Son of Man? Because God loves man. God sent His only Beloved Son to save mankind through grace and faith.

“…Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.” – Heb. 2:9

Do you believe a meaningless philosophy of men or do you believe in the Almighty God who has called you to be His child? See, God cares about you enough to give you salvation if you will believe and turn away from sin. Will you obey the Gospel today by confessing Jesus as Lord and by going down into the watery grave of baptism? You can be saved today. See Acts 8:38.
