The Bible says to be truthful. Don’t lie. The Bible teaches that our words will be judged by God. The Lord said liars are from the devil, their father, who is the father of lies. The Bible says words rightly spoken are like apples of gold in settings of silver (paraphrase).

So many kids today never get a lesson in honesty. They have never gone to church and have never opened a Bible. And they see nothing wrong with lying. But they do not know that lying makes ALL of their words to be useless or worthless.

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight. – Pro. 12:22.

The existence of the government bureau of weights and measures illustrates that commerce and civil life is not possible unless you can trust people. But without an honest government, everything falls apart. The godless, lying politicians and the lying alphabet agencies from the DOJ to the FBI are eroding the nation’s trust.

Reform in society will only begin by getting back to the truth.
