“12 So David took the spear and the jug of water that were at Saul’s head, and they left; and no one saw or knew about it, nor did anyone awaken, for they were all asleep, because a deep sleep from the LORD had fallen on them.” 1 Sam 26

Unless the Holy Spirit recorded this interesting detail, we would have thought it was nothing. But God works, just as He did many other times in providential ways, even to make the enemies sleep through obvious danger.

Never discount the involvement of God’s hands in our lives. When there seems to be a piece of good fortune, credit God. Consider that as a matter of faith, that God’s favor has been upon you as God’s favor was upon David.
